Michael Burress, CEO
Mr. Burress has been involved in private equity and venture capital markets for 23 years with a focus on water, healthcare and real estate. Mr. Burress has extensive experience investing in and building companies in the healthcare, manufacturing, energy infrastructure, and technology space.
During the sale of his remaining assets in healthcare, (Stereotactic Radio-surgery centers in major urban hospitals) a proposal for SWD’s was presented. The next 10 months were spent on due diligence of the SWD business that lead to water. Using the research and data mindset from healthcare analytics developed in house, Fulcrum determined that the majority of SWD’s and owners operated as a cottage industry. Therefore Mr. Burress founded Fulcrum Specialty Resources to create a “Water” company with multiple revenue lines vs. a sole focus on the SWD market.
Mr. Burress lives in Dallas Texas with his wife Chandra and two sons. Mr. Burress attended the University of Houston where he majored in History.
Mr. Burress is the founder and proud sponsor of Semper Gratus, a 501 c (3) devoted to providing funds for veterans and their families in need. Recently Semper Gratus donated for a memorial of four fallen heroes. He also serves on the Board for Feherty’s Troops First Foundation.
Mr. Burress currently serves on the following Boards: FYI Television, Feherty’s Troops First Foundation and Cirrus Health Advisory Board.
James Armer, Vice President
James has been tasked with strengthening existing relationships while building new relationship’s to grow and expand Radius Water Resources Portfolio. Radius evolved from a previous SWD midstream company called Fulcrum Specialty Resources that was divested in February of 2017. Taking that previous knowledge and experience, Radius has developed a best in class storage and SWD facilities to meet the current and future needs of our customers.
He is an accomplished and experienced sales director with 20 + years of experience in sales, sales management, business development, Negotiations and Client relations. James has built, managed, and lead sales teams with Verizon Information Services, Super Media, Clear Wire, Catapult Systems and Microsoft sales teams.
To fuel his entrepreneur spirit, he has also co-founded: Armer + Smith Capital Group, LLC, An East Austin Residential Real Estate Development Company, and Agua Azul Empresarial, S.A. Panama City Panama, a Punta Coco Island Development Company.
A native of Dalhart Texas, James attended and graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration Marketing and Management. He is married, has 2 boys and enjoys spending time with his family, coaching sports, fishing, hunting, skiing, golf, or anything related to the outdoors. He also enjoys hosting and volunteering for events related to disabled and wounded Veterans, as well as various other non-profits.
